Screen-used film props from The BFG on display...

This Summer Roald Dahl's classic 1982 children's book The BFG is being brought to life on the big screen courtesy of the magic of Disney and Steven Spielberg. This live-action film using CGI special effects to bring the 'Big Friendly Giant' to life and tells the tale of an orphaned girl named 'Sophie' and the dream-catching, snozzcumber-eating BFG and other lede friendly, children-eating giants.

Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang costume from Suicide Squad on display...

Australian actor Jai Courtney brings assassin 'Captain Boomerang' (or just plain 'Boomerang') to life in the big screen adaptation of DC's Suicide Squad comic book this Summer and as you can imagine, his supervillain name suggests his deadly weapon of choice.

Boomerang is drafted to 'Task Force X' aka the 'Suicide Squad' along with other criminals, killers and mercenaries-for-hire like 'Joker', 'Harley Quinn' and 'Deadshot' to carry out dangerous black ops missions for a shadowy government organisation.

Kate Hawley was Costume Designer on the explosive action movie directed by David Ayer, and you can check out more Suicide Squad movie costumes on display from the DC Universe: The Exhibit at the Warner Bros. Studios VIP Tour Museum on June 9, 2016.

Boomerang's look reminds me of Bane's costume from The Dark Knight Rises, but that's probably because of the similar Shearling sheepskin coat.

These 'trick' boomerang props and beer cans used by the actor were also on display with the other Suicide Squad film costumes and props.

In this Summer's adaptation of DC Comics Suicide Squad, Jared Leto plays the psychotic arch-nemesis of Batman, 'Joker'. In the film a shadowy government agency recruits the worst supervillians, killers and mercenaries to work for a covert task force to execute high-risk black ops missions in exchange for more lenient prison sentences.

Kate Hawley was Costume Designer on this film directed by David Ayer (who suggested the gangster tattoos for the villain's edgier, contemporary look), and you can also compare this outfit to Heath Ledger's more traditional Joker costume from The Dark Knight and Jack Nicholson's Joker costume from 1989's Batman on display.

Fans of Jared Leto can also check out his costumes from Dallas Buyers Club, which earned him an Oscar win for his role as trans woman 'Rayon'.

Also on display with the Joker's costume were props used by villain, including his ornate handgun, razor blade, playing cards, license plate and hammer (which cleverly has 'Ha Ha Ha' carved into the handle).

Stay tuned for more costumes and props on display from the DC movie coming to the big screen this August.

The Neon Demon movie costumes on display...

In the new film by Drive's Nicolas Winding Refn, Elle Fanning plays a 16-year-old aspiring model who moves to Los Angeles and finds that her natural youth and beauty makes her a target of other women in the dangerous and deadly world of high fashion.

To promote the psychological horror film this fabulous exhibit of costumes was on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on June 18, 2016. Not only was the neon lighting in tune with the theme of the movie, but the dresses also rotated in circles for a 360° reveal of the fashionable looks, such a great idea.

Erin Benach was Costume Designer on this high-fashion thriller and these two outfits were worn by Bella Heathcote as 'Gigi', one of the vicious and vindictive Hollywood models that Elle Fanning's character encounters when she's introduced to the vacuous, backstabbing world of the modeling industry.

Apparently the film's director is colour blind, so his movies always have a vivid contrast of colours, which I'm sure also influenced the costume choices in this, his first horror flick.

The movie costume and prop exhibits have been popping up with greater frequency of late, so stay tuned in the days to come for even more great screen-used treasures on display around L.A.
